Getting started

How do I book a tour?

Are trial days free?

Yes. Long Day Care children have two free trial days of three hours each before they start.

The enrolment form, your child's immunisation history statement from myGov, their birth certificate and a direct debit form. Download the forms.

Is there a waitlist?

[Confirm how vacancies and the waitlist work.]

Long Day Care

What ages do you care for?

Babies, toddlers and kindy children from birth to 5 years.

What are your hours?

6:30am to 6:00pm, Monday to Friday.

Are meals provided?

Yes. Morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea and a late snack, cooked on site from a weekly menu. Tell us about allergies or dietary needs before your child starts.

What should my child bring?

[Confirm: e.g. a hat, change of clothes, comforter, nappies, bottles.]

How will I know how their day went?

Educators share photos and updates on Storypark, and we always have time for a chat at pick-up.

School Care

Which schools do you pick up from?

Tuart Hill Primary School and [SECOND SCHOOL].

Can children from other schools come to vacation care?

Yes. Vacation care is open to primary school children from any school.

What food do you provide?

Breakfast before school (toast, cereal and milk), and fresh fruit every afternoon with a snack that changes every two weeks.

Health & safety

Who can collect my child?

Only the people listed on your enrolment form. If someone else is collecting, give us written consent, and we'll check their ID. Every child is signed in and out each day.

What's your sun safety policy?

We're a SunSmart centre. Children wear a hat and SPF 50+ sunscreen in warmer months: no hat, no play (we keep spares). There's no outdoor play between 10am and 3pm when it's over 32°C.

When should I keep my child home?

Whenever they're unwell, including with infectious conditions such as gastro, conjunctivitis, chickenpox or impetigo. They can return once the infectious period is over, with a doctor's certificate.

Can educators give my child medication?

Yes, with your written consent. Medication must be clearly labelled, in date, and handed to an educator so it can be stored safely.

Does my child need to be immunised?

Immunisation must be up to date for you to receive the Child Care Subsidy, unless a doctor has granted an exemption. We encourage every family to keep immunisations current.

What happens in a medical emergency?

We'll call for help and contact you straight away. Children are taken to Perth Children's Hospital.

Fees

How much are your fees?

Long Day Care is $153 to $158 a day depending on age. School Care is $33 before school, $44 after school and $104 a day for vacation care. All before the Child Care Subsidy. See all fees.

Why are your fees lower than other centres?

We own both buildings and have no head office, so there's no rent or corporate overheads to pass on to families.

How do absence days work?

The subsidy covers up to 42 absence days per child each financial year. More about absences.
